International Distributor Site for the Collagen Brand

True Story, the Israeli collagen and skincare brand, wanted to break into international markets through a distributor network. We built bytruestory.com, an English-only international platform that showcases the 18-product range, the European production standards, and a complete Distributor Pack flow that turns site visits into partner inquiries.
From a local Shopify storefront to an international platform that speaks directly to global distributors.
The Challenge
After we built the local Hebrew Shopify site for True Story, they came back with a new challenge: break into international markets through a distributor network. A local D2C site doesn't look like a serious partner to an importer in Europe or a distributor in Asia.
They needed a separate platform, fully English, that highlights the things partners actually care about, European manufacturing (Made in EU), GMP standards, third-party validations, the GeFita patent, and science-led formulations.
Our approach
We chose to build a headless Next.js site that pulls product data from Shopify but delivers a fundamentally different experience from the local store. The message shifts from consumer D2C to B2B distributor-first: every CTA leads to the Distributor Pack, and every piece of content answers the importer's question, not the consumer's.
We developed three core templates: a homepage with the "Based on True Stories" message and two parallel CTAs (Discover the range / For Distributors), a catalog at scale ("All 18 products, one true story"), and rich product pages with active ingredients, manufacturing standards and usage instructions.
All English copy was written from scratch in an international brand voice, with terminology like Clinically Validated, Conscious Formulations, Market Ready, and a consistent emphasis on scientific credibility. We replaced every photo and visual element to give the impression of a global brand, not a translated local one.

Instead of translating, we built a standalone international identity that works.
